How to Care for Your Outdoor Bench and Table Set

Keeping outdoor furniture in the best condition can be difficult considering just how changeable the Great British climate is. Wind and rain can cause wooden furniture to warp and rot if not cared for properly, so it is imperative to take some precautions.

We’ve got a lot of experience in dealing with wooden furniture and we have created this article to help offer you some best practices so you get the best use from your outdoor beer bench sets.

Cleaning Your Outdoor Beer Bench and Table Set

Keeping your outdoor furniture clean can be challenging after big outdoor party but it doesn’t need to be difficult. A good antibacterial cleaner and a cloth should sort out most problems but it’s important not to get the furniture too wet as this can cause damage if left for too long.

While it might be tempting to get the pressure washer out for stubborn stains, it’s not a wise move. The force of water from a pressure washer could cause the wood to splinter and crack, which is only going to invite further damage.

Storing Your Folding Beer Bench and Table Set

Although our beer bench sets are double varnished and pressure treated, it’s best to store them inside when they are not in use to prevent them getting any more wind / rain damage than is necessary.

Once folded down, they should be stored at a slight tilt to prevent any water from pooling on surfaces. They can be covered to protect from dust but any cover put over them should be breathable, which will allow air to circulate and reduce the chances of anything like mildew or fungi growing.
